Hatteras, North Carolina
Muff Diver will be staying at Hatteras Harbor Marina in Hatteras, NC yearly from March thru May.
The fishing day in Hatteras begins at 6am and we are usually back at the dock around 4pm. The run to the fishing grounds is a short one, usually just about a little more than an hour. There is normally great fishing for Tuna, Wahoo, Dolphin and Billfish. We will actually be fishing in the Gulf Stream. You will know when you get there - the water is a beautiful indigo blue - you've got to see it to believe it! There is a fish cleaning facility at the marina and they can store your catch until you leave. Hatteras is a wonderful fishing village and a great place to just take a break.
A couple of motels in the Hatteras area that we would recommend are Hatteras Marlin Motel 866-986-2141 and the Breakwater Inn 252-986-2565. One motel in the Buxton area is the Comfort Inn 800-432-1421. In any event, when booking make sure that you call the motels and be sure that you have a place to stay before booking the boat.
